KUGN's Community Reminder Program

KUGN wants to help local non-profit organizations spread the word about important community services and activities. We are currently accepting 10 to 15-second, written public service announcements (about 3-4 lines, ~30 words) with your message.

To offer the best service and stay organized, we have certain criteria required for submitting Community Reminders to KUGN:

• Please include all pertinent information, including who, what, where, and when
• Always include a phone number or website for listeners to get more information
• Please submit 1 month in advance of start date
• Please include the name, address and phone number of the non-profit organization and the name of a contact person (so we can get more information if necessary)
• Include suggested air dates to indicate when the announcement should run

Please send the copy of your Community Reminder in the body of your e-mail, not as an attachment.

Also please keep the following in mind:

 
• PSAs are only for 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations
• Please understand we cannot air every PSA we receive and we reserve our right to refuse service. We also may edit the copy you submit
• PSAs received at our PSA email address only will be considered for air. You may also send snail mail announcements labeled "Community Reminders" to the address above
• Pre-produced audio will be considered
• Please limit follow-up calls. We have a staff of one person to handle PSA's (who also handles additional functions at the station)
• We are unable to acknowledge receipt of every Public Service Announcement. If your Public Service Announcement is read on the air we will notify you
• Please don't send press releases or newsletters to the PSA email address. We also cannot use minutes from meetings, photos, annual reports, or staff announcements
• Please don't send information about for-profit events, class reunions, political functions, rallies, or demonstrations (the latter three should be sent to the newsroom)
• Please don't send more than one mailing for a given event; please check your mailing list and delete multiple listings for KUGN Radio
