Report: Oregon Toddlers Watch Too Much TV

7/15 A new report from Oregon Public Health says that 1 in 5 Oregon kids watch too much TV
JULY 15, 2010 -- An Oregon Public Health report published today has found that one-fifth of Oregon toddlers are watching too much television – a situation that can lead to health problems –

Dr. John Oh is with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -

He says many parents use the television as a baby-sitter for their toddlers, but there’s a much healthier solution -

Another finding from the report shows that almost one-fifth of children 2-years of age had a TV in their bedroom - these children were twice as likely to watch excessive TV compared with children without a TV in their bedroom.
