State Loosens Insurance Availability

7/14 The Oregon Health Authority now offers a federally funded insurance plan to more people
JULY 14, 2010 -- The Oregon Health Authority is launching a federally funded insurance plan today, allowing people with existing health conditions to purchase medical insurance.

The Federal pool differs from the Oregon pool, which also provides an insurance option for people with pre-existing conditions –

Don Myron - the Program Development Specialist with the Oregon Medical Insurance Pool –

Between the two pools, does this mean that everyone in Oregon with a pre-existing condition will now be eligible for insurance? –

To apply for the new federally funded insurance pool, you can call 800-848-7280.
