JULY 13, 2010 -- Jefferson Street near 15th Avenue was blocked this afternoon when a tree fell across the roadway.
An old maple tree had become rotten and buckled under it’s own weight.
Police blocked northbound traffic for about an hour while a tree removal service cleared the road and chipped the fallen branches and trunk.
