JULY 6, 2010 -- There’s good news and bad news today for Oregonians who file for unemployment insurance benefits.
Craig Spivey with the WorkSource Oregon Employment Department starts with the good news.
As for the bad news...
Spivey says the new payment amount change affects new unemployment insurance claims filed with an effective date on or after July 4th, 2010. Those with existing unemployment claims will continue to receive the same weekly amount.
