Foster Parent Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Abuse

11/23 Joshua Friar has been charged with 29 counts of sex abuse
A Springfield foster parent employed at a facility for trouble youth has pleaded not guilty to the 29 criminal counts brought against him following an Oregon State Police investigation. KVAL News reports that 26-year old Joshua Thomas Friar pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of sodomy and sex abuse, as well as charges of tampering with a witness and using a child in a sexual display.

A trial has been set for Jan. 7, 2010. He is being held on $3 million bail at the Lane County jail.
