Person Killed in Crash Near Drain

11/23 The car drove off the road and landed in a creek
NOVEMBER 23, 2009 - Oregon State Police, Douglas County Sheriff's Office, ODOT and local emergency responders are on scene Monday afternoon of a confirmed fatal traffic crash following the report of a vehicle found in a creek along Highway 38 west of Drain. A dive team confirmed a single victim was found inside the submerged car.

Preliminary information indicates on November 23, 2009 at approximately 11:38 a.m. OSP was notified by Douglas County Sheriff's Office of a reported car into a creek along Highway 38 near milepost 42. Douglas County dive team members responded and confirmed a single victim inside the car.

OSP troopers from the Roseburg Area Command office are continuing the investigation with the assistance of Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
