Putnam leads field, Ducks at Amateur

7/29 Pepperdine golfer has two stroke edge halfway through tournament
JULY 29, 2010 -- Pepperdine golfer Andrew Putnam leads after the second round at the Pacific Coast Amateur Championships at Eugene Country Club. The younger brother of 2004 winner, Michael Putnam, is two shots in the lead after his 2-under 69 on Wednesday.

Several University of Oregon golfers are in contention, including Andrew Vijarro and Eugene Wong who are three storkes off the lead.

Tournament organizer and UO assistant golf coach Steve Nosler joined the KUGN Morning News to discuss the headlining event.
